As the COVID-19 vaccination roll out continues, persons from Phase One priority groups are invited to receive their first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine today, Friday February 19 at the following locations:

  • Dr. D Orlando Smith Hospital Chapel from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to private healthcare workers, Public Health, Environmental Health, Department of Waste Management, Social Development Department and staff of all units in the Ministry of Health and Social Development.
     
  • Nurse Iris O’Neal Medical Centre in Virgin Gorda from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. to Healthcare workers, Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Fire and Rescue Department, Immigration Department, Her Majesty’s Customs, Ports Authority, BVI Airports Authority, Red Cross, VISAR and Mortuary Workers.
     
  • Virgin Islands Police Force Head Quarters at the Sir Olva Georges Plaza on Tortola from 10:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Fire and Rescue Department, Immigration Department, Her Majesty’s Customs, Ports Authority, BVI Airports Authority, Red Cross, VISAR and Mortuary Workers.

Persons are reminded to walk with work related identification.

Residents who do not fall into this priority phase are reminded to allow for this phase to be completed before anticipating an appointment to be vaccinated.
