The public is notified that the Department of Disaster Management will be testing its National Siren System and National Emergency Broadcast System today Friday, May 24 at 2:00 p.m.

The public is not expected to react once the siren is sounded, as this is only a test. Residents are also asked to tune into ZBVI, ZCBN, OR ZKING for test messages from the Department of Disaster Management.

Text messaging is part of the Early Warning System in the BVI, therefore text messages would be issued by the cell providers CCT, Digicel and LIME.
