The Electrical Inspection Unit is informing all registered licenced electricians, contractors, home and business owners that an electrical inspection has to be carried out on residential or commercial premises that have been disconnected for six months and over. This inspection has to be completed before reconnection of electricity to the premises.

This is in accordance with Acts and Statutory Instruments 1999 (Cap.227) that states in order for power to be restored to the building a certificate of approval must be issued by the Unit.
