The public is advised of a fire at the Pockwood Pond incinerator and are asked to avoid the area. The fire may have resulted from the explosion of an LPG tank.

The building and garbage in the surrounding area are on fire. Residents are asked to refrain from bringing garbage to the site at this time as the area is closed until further notice.

The Fire and Rescue Services are currently on the scene working to control the fire and contain any possible spreading.
