In an ongoing effort to protect the community against mosquito borne viruses, the Environmental Health Division will begin fogging operations at the following locations and dates:

Wednesday, November 25

  • Beef Island to East End and surrounding areas
  • Long Look, Greenland, Vanterpool Estate, Lambert Estate and surrounding area
  • Josiah’s Bay, Spring Ghut, Belle Vue and surrounding areas          

Thursday, November 26

  • Fat Hog’s Bay to Paraquita Bay (HLSCC)
  • Paraquita Bay (Marine Base) to Fish Bay (Skelton Bay Lot)
  • Gene Hill, Baugher’s Bay, Purcell Estate, Pasea Estate (RTW)        

Friday, November 27

  • Pasea Estate (Sports Club), Wickhams Cay II, John’s Hole, Horse Path
  • Huntums Ghut, Lower Estate, Long Bush, McNamara hillside
  • Slaney, Duff’s Bottom, Sea Cow’s Bay  

Fogging will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Persons with respiratory illnesses, particularly asthmatics, are advised to vacate fogged areas for at least one hour. In the event of inclement weather, no fogging will be performed. Fogging will then resume on the next available day until all areas are completed.
