The Government of the Virgin Islands has put measures in place for accommodations to be made for persons who are in the Territory visiting and may need assistance in extending their stay until the all clear is given.

All affected persons or those who require services from the Immigration Department should contact the Acting Chief Immigration Officer Mr. Ian Penn by telephone at 284-468-9527 or email ipenn@gov.vg.

The public is also advised that the Immigration and the Labour departments are extending the payment of services deadlines to three months in light of COVID-19.

Persons are reminded to adhere to the social distancing guidelines established by the Ministry of Health and Social Development when visiting the Immigration Department after an appointment is made and confirmed. Persons are also reminded not to gather outside the department and keep a distance of preferably six (6) feet from each other.

The Department of Immigration continues to contribute to the security and prosperity in building a stronger and better BVI, by operating a fair but firm immigration control that regulate and facilitate the movement of people through BVI borders while exercising sound judgment in the performance of duties and ensuring that the needs of their customers in an efficient, effective and courteous manner in accordance with B.V.I. Immigration laws.
