The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Ministry of Finance, Procurement Unit is inviting seal bids for the Supply and Installation of Radar and Camera Border Security Surveillance Equipment for Her Majesty’s Customs.
The proposed works comprise of the supply and installation of the surveillance equipment for Her Majesty’s Customs at strategic locations, and should be able to track detected objects. The system should be designed to include/utilise existing towers, which will provide infrastructure to be installed in order to extend the communications to the relevant radar and cameras and on to the Command Centre.
Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said, “Interested Tenderers must submit Certificates of Good Standing from the BVI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance and the Inland Revenue Department. Other relevant documents are also outlined in the Tender Document including a Schedule of Works, Supply and Installation, Technical Capacity and Delivery Schedule.”
Mrs. Rhymer added that bidding documents will be available from Wednesday, November, 25 and will be sent to bidders electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Supply and Installation of Radar and Camera Border Security Surveillance Equipment for HM Customs.”
Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original and three (3) additional copies plus one (1) copy on a flash drive in a sealed envelope. The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “Original” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “Copies”. Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope mark “PG/RFQ/2020/MOF/02” – Supply and Installation of Radar and Camera Border Security Surveillance Equipment for HM Customs”. The Flash drive copy must be identical to the original copy. All bids must be received no later than 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December, 9 and addressed to:

A virtual pre-tender meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, December 2 at 10:00 a.m. and all prospective bidders will be notified of the access code and password prior to the meeting.
Tenders will be opened at the Procurement Unit, Ministry of Finance, Qwomar Building #2, 2nd Floor on Wednesday, December 9 at 11:30 a.m. All Tenderers are invited to witness this process via “Webex” and will be provided with the access code and password prior to the opening.
