The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting bids for insurance coverage for the Central Administration Complex.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said that the plan should provide a cost proposal for the Central Administration Complex located at 33 Administration Drive Wickham’s Cay I, with effect from July to December, 2019.

Mrs. Rhymer said the plan should include the insurance coverage based on the value of the building, coverage for earthquakes, sea quakes, seismic activities, floods, tidal surges, tsunamis, windstorms, lightning, fire, hurricane, mud slides and landslides, explosion, riot, civil commotion, malicious mischief, vandalism, volcanic activities, subsistence of site or liquidation and other types of coverage.

Tenders must have a valid Insurance Licence issued pursuant to the Insurance Act 2008 or a copy of Insurance Licence Application submitted to the Director of Insurance; Certificates of Good standing in respect to social security and taxes and other pertinent documentation outlined in the tender.

Mrs. Ishma Rhymer added that Tenderers can request tender documents from Monday, April 8. Interest persons should submit tenders in triplicate. The original should be placed in a sealed envelope marked “Original” and the copies placed in another sealed envelope marked Copies. Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope marked Tender for Insurance Coverage- Central Administration Complex addressed to: The Chairman, Central Tenders Board, Ministry of Finance, Procurement Unit, Qwomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor, Blackburne Road, Tortola, Virgin Islands.

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box on April 30 no later than 10:00 a.m. where they will be publicly opened at the Procurement Unit at noon.  All Tenderers are invited to attend.
