Press Conference– Thursday, October 10-

Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley at the press conference on Thursday, October 12 said:

“We used to have programme many years ago called CHIP (Complete Health Improvement Programme), that was part of it. We are also working on BVI Moves which is a part of a Caribbean Let’s Move Programme. Our health is directly related to the food we eat and our exercise… We must accept some level of responsibility ourselves. The government will of course create programmes that will incentivize and popularize and encourage persons into health eating and for person to exercise. We must also create access to these things. There are things we must do as a government to facilitate persons getting into a healthier lifestyle.”
