Monday, September 28 signaled the beginning of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) Week being hosted by the Government of the Virgin Islands in collaboration with the Caribbean Telecommunication Union. The conference is being held at Maria’s by the Sea Hotel.

Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Mark Vanterpool in welcoming remarks said, “As we deliberate this week, we hope to accomplish a lot for the region to enable us to become more a part of the world.”

Minister Vanterpool added, “Through ICT Week, we can become a part globally as we couldn’t before and we want to use each possible way to ensure our people benefit from these connections.”

ICT Week continues today with a closed General Conference for Ministers under the theme “Kickstarting the CARICOM Single ICT Space by Accelerating e-Government Services” and an Opening Ceremony at Marias by the Sea Courtyard.
