The Ministry of Finance will be hosting a meeting with maritime stakeholders, industry professionals, and the public on the upcoming amendments to the Marine Industry Bill.

The meeting will be held on April 8 at 5:00 p.m. at Maria’s by the Sea. Premier and Minister for Maritime Administration and Shipping, Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley says the meeting aims to include the relevant members of the industry that will benefit and be affected by the amendments, to be a part of the discussion, understand the legislative process, and have input in its development.

The proposed amendments to be discussed include the Commercial Recreational Vessels Licensing Bill 2024, Cruising and Home Port Permit Bill 2024 and Customs Management and Duties Bill 2024.

The Ministry of Finance continues to make strides into strategically modernising sustainable development in the marine industry of the Virgin Islands.
