More organisations joined the “Green Pledge” on Thursday, June 8, and were awarded gold stars for “green” habits and successes. Pictured are organisations who received Green Pledge Seals to display, as well as organisations who have received official “gold stars” for reporting on their annual energy and waste reduction and or recycling successes. (from top, then left to right) The Conservation and Fisheries Department, Harneys, Sage Roots, Cedar International School, and Mellow Moods. The Green Pledge Programme was initiated by the Conservation and Fisheries Department in 2012 and seeks to encourage businesses, schools and all organisations to reduce their carbon footprint through waste reduction and recycling methods.
