The Territory’s newest centenarian, Mrs. Emogene Augusta Creque is photographed seated and surrounded by Government officials including Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malon; Minister for Natural Resources, Labour and Immigration, Honourable Vincent Wheatley, as well as family and friends. Mrs. Creque celebrated her 100^th birthday on Monday, July 22. As part of the Government of the Virgin Islands’ tradition to honour ‘golden citizens’, she received a $5,000 cheque as well as a birthday card issued by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
