Citizens and residents, businesses, public officers, and visitors will soon have access to Government’s information, news and services from one central location when the newly transformed Web site www.bvi.gov.vg. is officially launched tomorrow, January 20.

According to Director of Communications, Mrs. Arliene T. Penn, "The public is invited to tune in to live coverage of the launch on ZBVI at 10:00 a.m. from Premier's Conference Room, and prepare to log on to the newly transformed site when Premier and Minister of Finance Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE gives the green light that the site is active."

She said that transformation is driven by the theme: ‘One Government, One Web site, One Official Online Presence’." Your portal to all of Governments information, news and services.

Remarks will be delivered by Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. the Honourable D. Orlando Smith, OBE, Deputy Governor, Mrs. Inez Archibald, CBE; and Chairman of the E-Government Steering Committee, Honourable Marlon Penn. There will be a simulation on the Web site to give users an idea of how to navigate the pages.

The Government of the Virgin Islands remains committed to providing the people of the Territory with effective online services designed to improve the efficiency of its operations and customer service.
