Minister for Communications and Works Honourable Mark Vanterpool earlier today (October 18) welcomed the Captain, crew and passengers of the Norwegian Getaway back to the shores of the BVI for the first time following the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria.

The Minister presented a plaque to the Captain on behalf of the Premier and people of the BVI as a token of appreciation and friendship.  His Excellency the Governor Mr. Augustus Jaspert; Junior Minister for Tourism Honourable, Archibald Christian and the Director of Tourism, Mrs. Sharon Flax-Brutus were on hand to witness the event. (Photo Credit: Ronielle Frazer/GIS)
