Property owners in the Virgin Islands are reminded that in accordance with Section 3(a) of the Property Tax Act (2005), Property Tax on Land will be charged on a per parcel basis for the year 2016.

 Property owners are asked to take note and review the Property Tax list for the year 2016 when it is published in July. Buildings will continue to be listed individually as they have been in previous versions of the Property Tax List.

Owners of new and/or renovated buildings (including houses, apartments, villas, storage units, office buildings and other commercial properties) or any structures not currently listed, are reminded that as per the Property Tax Act, they are required to contact the Inland Revenue Department at 468-2155 to arrange for a site visit and appraisal of their buildings for the 2016 Property Tax year.
