The public is invited to join the Customs Department, for their 40th Anniversary Thanksgiving Church Service on Sunday, July 12 at 11:00 a.m. at Faith Baptist Church on Upper Main Street.

The public is also invited to learn more about the work of Her Majesty’s Customs during an Open House at the department’s headquarters in the Richard Stoutt building, on Friday, July 17, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  The department will also host a Masquerade Ball on July 18 under the theme   “Fusion of Colours” at the Callaloo on the Reef, Prospect Reef from 9:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. Tickets are $25. Ticket outlets are Her Majesty’s Customs Headquarters, and J & C Trading Limited.

The 40th Anniversary is being celebrated under the theme: The Transition:  Customs 40th Anniversary. Reflections Throughout Forty Years: Revenue Collection, Ensuring Legitimate Trade, Border Protection, Continuous Reform and Modernisation.
