The BVI Tourist Board & Film Commission and the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force are urging the public to prioritize safety during the 70th Emancipation Festival Celebrations, especially during the Rise & Shine Tramps.

Vendors selling beverages during the festivities are reminded that selling beverages in breakable bottles is prohibited and the sale of alcohol to minors is prohibited and an offense punishable by law.

The community is also reminded not to drink and drive, observe all road safety rules, and ensure that underage children are always supervised.
