On December 6, 2015, a privately owned tour-bus was involved in an accident while descending the Cane Garden Bay Hill.

First responders including the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force, Fire and Rescue Department, medical personnel were mobilised, along with members of the BVI Tourist Board and cruise ship personnel from the Celebrity Summit cruise line, to provide assistance to the visitors involved.  A Police Liaison Officer has been assigned to work with the cruise line, the BVI Tourist Board and families while the investigations are ongoing.

We take this opportunity to encourage the entire community, including our media partners, to be sensitive to the visiting families that have been affected.
