The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for waste collection and the restoration of Cox Heath Debris Management Site.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said the successful tender will be expected to extinguish fires and restore the site.

Mrs. Rhymer said the terms of reference includes providing personnel, water, water pumps and other equipment needed to extinguish the internal combustions on the site. Personnel will be required to wear personal protective equipment.

Mrs. Rhymer added that the successful tenderer will be responsible for separating stock metal that will be piled on site and transporting debris from the Cox Health site and other construction locations to the site at Pockwood Pond. Tenderers are also expected to provide heavy equipment, excavators and trucking services to execute the tasks outlined in the Tender notice.

The Procurement Coordinator said interested persons should submit tenders in triplicate and the original should be place in a sealed envelope marked “Original” and the copies placed in another sealed envelope marked “Copies”. Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope marked “Waste Collection and the Restoration of Cox Health Debris Management Site” addressed to: The Chairman, Central Tenders Board, Ministry of Finance, Procurement Unit, Qwomar Trading Building #2, 2nd Floor, Blackburne Road, Tortola, Virgin Islands.

Tender documents are available upon request from Monday, April 8. All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box on Tuesday, April 30 no later than 10:00 a.m. where they will be publicly opened at the Procurement Unit at 11:00 a.m.  All Tenderers are invited to attend.
