The Government of the Virgin Islands request tenders for the construction of inspection chamber, wet wells and procurement and installation of pumps and mechanical components for the Long Swamp Pump Station, East End/Long Look Sewerage Project, Tortola.

The proposed scope of works consists of the furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials and performing all operations in connection the installation of Client supplied concrete wet well segments, excavation works for the wet well and inspection chamber, construction of concrete reinforced inspection chamber; procurement, installation and commissioning of triplex pump system with electrical panels; procurement and installation of piping system, provision of fencing, gates and generator, amongst other things.

Procurement Coordinator, Mrs. Ishma Rhymer said eligible tenderers are required to provide a detailed work programme showing the order in which the various sections of works are to be executed, the rates of progress and the estimated periods for their execution and completion, along with a list of similar projects completed within the last five (5) years.

Mrs. Rhymer added that amongst other things, tenderers must also have a valid 2022 Trade Licence in the specific type of work and submit Certificates of Good Standing in respect of the Social Security and taxes, including Payroll and Income Tax, from VI Social Security Board, National Health Insurance and Inland Revenue.

Bid documents will be available from Thursday, 10^th November weekdays between 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Bidding documents will be sent to bidders electronically upon request to procurement@gov.vg with the subject title “Construction of Inspection Chamber, Wet Well and Procurement and Installation of Pumps and Mechanical Components for the Long Swamp Pump Station, East End and Long Look Sewerage Network”.

A virtual pre-tender meeting via Webex is scheduled for Thursday, 24^th November at 10:00 a.m. The access code and password will be provided prior to the meeting. This will be followed by a site visit. All prospective tenderers are invited to attend.

Interested tenderers should submit one (1) original, three (3) copies and one (1) flash drive containing the bidder’s documents.  The original bid should be placed in a sealed envelope and marked “ORIGINAL” and the additional copies placed in another sealed envelope and marked “COPIES”.  Both envelopes should then be placed in an outer envelope and marked “ Construction of Inspection Chamber, Wet Well and Procurement and Installation of Pumps and Mechanical Components for the Long Swamp Pump Station, East End and Long Look Sewerage Network” and addressed to:

All tenders must be deposited in the Tender Box at the Ministry of Finance (Procurement Unit), RFG Place, Fleming Street, Road Town, Tortola, British Virgin Islands, by the bearer not later than 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, 20^th December, 2022.  Tenders will not be received after the Tender Box is closed.
