The Government of the Virgin Islands welcomed two ships this week with a plaque presentation ceremony in recognition of their inaugural call.

The ships are not only new to the Territory they are also new in their fleets. The MV Britannia which visited Sunday is seven months old and the Norwegian Escape, which is in port today, is only three months old.

The Norwegian Escape replaces the “Getaway” on the cruise line’s itinerary and will be visiting the Territory weekly. The ship holds 5200 guests plus 1730 crew members.
