The Department of Waste Management is advising the Virgin Gorda community to refrain from dumping on the roadway and to take their waste directly to the dumpsite. Persons are also asked to refrain from dumping at the site during periods of heavy rains or when the terrain is such that waste cannot be taken directly onto the site.

Persons caught dumping inappropriately will be ticketed and prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law as stipulated in the Little Abatement Act.
