Minister for Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer said he is delighted with the progress made during meetings at this year’s Seatrade Cruise Global 2025.

Honourable Rymer led a delegation to the event which he said concluded with highly successful meetings and networking opportunities.

"Our focus on sustainability and enhancing the unique appeal of the BVI as a premier cruise destination resonated well with industry leaders,” Honourable Rymer said. He added, “We look forward to implementing these strategies to ensure a sustainable and thriving cruise sector for the Territory."

Deputy Managing Director of the BVI Ports Authority, Mr. Dean Fahie added that the success of the Territory’s participation at this year’s Seatrade underscores its commitment to fostering long-term partnerships within the cruise industry.

"We are confident that these collaborations will drive mutual growth and success for both our Territory and our cruise partners," Mr. Fahie said.

The event, which observed SEATRADE's 40th anniversary, brought together over 11,000 industry professionals from more than 120 countries at the Miami Beach Convention Center from April 7 to 10.

The VI delegation was comprised of representatives from the Ministry of Communications and Works, BVI Ports Authority, the BVI Tourist Board, Tortola Pier Park Limited and private sector partners, engaged in discussions with key stakeholders in the cruise industry.
