Mrs. Marlene Trotman and the late Ms. Phyllis Shirley were recognised for their stalwart contributions to the formation of the Family Support Network in activities to celebrate International Women’s Day. Mrs. Trotman and Ms. Shirley’s daughter, Mrs. Teresa Frett accepted their awards presented by newly appointed Minister of Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone and Jr. Minister of Tourism, Honourable Shereen Flax Charles. The Office of Gender Affairs under the umbrella of the Ministry of Health and Social Development also observed International Women’s Day with the hosting of an Information Fair.
