Provision of gender related information for the public.

Process

Requesting Information

Step 1:  An individual visits or calls the Office requesting information.

Step 2:  The request is logged.

Step 3:  The individual can gather information using (i) the resource center, (ii) information provided by a member of staff or (iii) they can be directed to another Department where the information can be found.

Presenting Information

Step 1:  The Office of Gender Affairs sends out a letter to local organisations (churches, schools, businesses) or local organisations, private and public, can contact the Office for informational presentations.

Step 2:  If the organisation accepts the request a date and time is arranged.

Step 3:  Representatives from the Office of Gender Affairs go to the Organisation and make the presentation.

Step 4:  The Office Representatives may ask a Lawyer or an officer from the Social Development Department to accompany them for the presentation to answer questions.
