Transfer of Waste from Jost Van Dyke to Tortola.
Process
Step 1: Garbage (both residential and commercial waste) is brought to the transfer station.
Step 2: The waste is sorted by glass and cans, combustible waste, oil, bulky items and yard waste and placed in the correct bin.
Step 3: Combustible waste is shipped to the incinerator once a week. The other types of waste are shipped to the incinerator as necessary.

The transfer station is opened to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 6 am to 2 pm and on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays from 8 am to 2 pm.
