Owners of dogs in the Territory are reminded to implement good safety habits through registration of their pets, leashing, tying and fencing-in practices.
The Department of Agriculture wishes to advise residents and visitors to the British Virgin Islands that it is unlawful to import plants and/or plant materials into the Territory without a valid provisional import permit in accordance with the Plant Protection Act (Cap. 93).

The National Parks Trust of the Virgin Islands is continuing its conservation efforts to preserve endangered and endemic plants species in the Virgin Islands.
The Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour has implemented a three-pronged approach to reduce the Territory’s reliance on food imports in an effort to increase food security.
Residents of the Virgin Islands will have an opportunity to be educated on ways to reduce poverty and hunger, the agricultural benefits and usage of the Sargassum Seaweed as well as participate in food tasting today Friday, October 16, as part of the observance of World Food Day (WFD).
The Department of Agriculture is inviting the public to its World Food Day celebrations on Friday, October 16 at the Central Administration Complex Breeze Way at 11:30 a.m.
Students of Grades 5 and 6 of the Leonora Delville and Isabella Morris Primary Schools were engaged in activities on how to properly use and dispose of pesticides as part of Pesticides Awareness Week.
