Esteemed faculty members, distinguished guests, proud parents, and most importantly, the resilient Elmore Stoutt High School Class of 2023, good afternoon.

Madam Speaker, I wish to update this Honourable House on the successful completion of the ESHS Redevelopment project which signified a major investment in the infrastructure that supports education in the Virgin Islands.

Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports Honourable Sharie B. de Castro said she is satisfied to see the completion of the Elmore Stoutt High School Redevelopment project which has paved the way for students to return to a full day of classes.

A pleasant good morning is extended to all the beautiful people of these beautiful Virgin Islands, especially the principal, administrators, educators and students of the Elmore Stout High School (ESHS).

In 2017, the August floods and the Hurricanes Irma and Maria in September completely devastated the Elmore Stoutt High School Campus. Administration, teachers and students were displaced and dislocated. 

The Government of the Virgin Islands is inviting tenders for Supply of Security Services for Elmore Stoutt High School, Lower Estate Campus.

Madam Speaker, the Elmore Stoutt High School Redevelopment Project continues to progress at an accelerated pace and all hands are on deck to bring this project to completion.

The Government of the Virgin Islands, acting through the Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, is accepting sealed bids for the Steel Frame Structure (Building B) at the Elmore Stoutt High School on an “As Is” basis.

Persons interested in the purchasing this Steel Frame Structure may inspect it at the Elmore Stoutt High School Campus, Road Town, Monday to Friday between the hours of 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. The successful bidder will be responsible for:

As the Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) remains steadfast in its quest to deliver four new buildings on the main Elmore Stoutt High School campus, a contract was signed to execute demolition works at the old CTL Building.
