In light of the flash flood warning and the water’s impact on Territory roads, it is crucial for persons to stay off the roads and remain indoors until conditions improve.

The Virgin Islands was this morning placed on a flash flood warning, which will remain in effect until 10:30 am.

The public is advised that due to the recent update from the Department of Disaster Management, the intensity of the rainfall and the road situation report from the Public Works Department, all Government Offices are closed today, June 6, with the exception of essential services.

Deputy Governor, Mr. David Archer, Jr. will act in the Office of Governor until June 9 in the absence of His Excellency, the Governor Mr. Daniel Pruce who is out of the Territory.
