Good morning, Premier, colleagues and those listening online.

As we are in a reflection mode, let me pause and reflect on some of the public projects under the recovery and development programme that were successfully completed:

The Government of the Virgin Islands has announced that it has secured a loan facility of one hundred million dollars ($100,000,000) CIBC First Caribbean Bank (Cayman) Limited to support critical infrastructure development across the Territory.

The Government of the Virgin Islands through the Premier’s Office, wishes to procure the services of a Public Image Enhancement Specialist for the assignment in relation to supplementing the public relations strategies provided by the Government Information Services.

The Premier’s Office, acting on behalf of the Government of the Virgin Islands wishes to procure the services of a Production and Programme Specialist for the assignment in relation to supplementing the Government’s public relations through social media platforms, YouTube and digital broadcast, and animated communications.

Premier, and Minister of Finance, Environment, Natural Resources and Climate Change, Honourable Dr. Natalio Wheatley has stated that there is a need for the active monitoring the Territory’s environment, its water quality and coral reefs.

Fourteen (14) students who were a part the 2024 cohort of Summer Apprentices have received Public Service working experience through their placements across ministries in the Government of the Virgin Islands.

The Government of the Virgin Islands has announced a week-long National Celebration in honour of The Right Honourable Dame Janice M. Pereira on the occasion of her retirement from the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court as Chief Justice.
