The Leader of the Opposition and Member for the Eighth District to ask the Honourable Minister for Transportation, Works & Utilities the following questions:
Following the decision by Hon. Mark H. Vanterpool to take the Speaker of the Virgin Islands’ House of Assembly to court over the Speaker’s decision to accept his resignation letter of 5th March, 2019, the Government of the Virgin Islands, through the House of Assembly retained the local law firm of Veritas Law.
I want to start by giving God all the glory, honour and praise.
I recognise all those who have been recognised before. I also recognise the presence of all dignitaries and their spouses. But it would be remiss of me if I didn’t recognise my very good friends from the U.S Virgin Islands, Governor and Lieutenant Governor of the U.S Virgin Islands, Governor Bryan Jr., and Lieutenant Governor Roach – two very good friends of mine.
Mr. Julian Willock was elected and sworn in as the Speaker of the House of Assembly during the First Sitting of the First Session of the Fourth House of Assembly on Tuesday, March 12.
