The Department of Labour Workforce Development is reminding employers and employees to make an appointment when collecting work permit renewals.

Effective December 31, the Department of Labour and Workforce Development will cease accepting physical applications for new work permits.

The public is notified that the new minimum wage of $8.50 per hour, will take effect on  November 30.
