Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley is attending the Small Island Developing States Gender Equality Forum and the United Nations’ 4th International Conference on Small Island Developing States in Antigua and Barbuda.
Health Ministers from the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS), Chief Medical Officers, Permanent Secretaries and other health delegates are featured at the Ninth OECS Council of Ministers: Health chaired by Minister for Health and Social Development Honourable Vincent O. Wheatley.

For September, the Virgin Islands' community joins the rest of the world in observing World Alzheimer's Month. The observation of World Alzheimer's Month is being spearheaded by Alzheimer's Disease International to raise awareness of dementia and to help address and eliminate the stigma associated with the disease.

Madam Speaker, I would like to take this opportunity to provide a report to this Honorable House on my recent trip to Barbados from the 11th to the 16th of June to attend the PAHO/WHO SIDS (Small Island Developing States) Ministerial Conference on Chronic Diseases and Mental Health and its significance to the Territory.
