As a result of the Curfew Act, 2017, imposition of a Curfew (No. 32) Order 2020, the Public Service will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. effective today.

The Junior Minister for Trade and Economic Development, Honourable Shereen Flax-Charles is advising small business owners that there is still an opportunity to apply for the Economic Stimulus for Micro, Small, Medium Enterprises Business Grant Relief Programme. Interested persons have until Wednesday, September 16 at noon to apply.
The Joint Task Force will be receiving a donation of critical maritime security equipment today from the Governor’s Office in support of its work to protect the Territory’s borders.

Today is a long awaited occasion, and just like you, I am glad that it is finally here. I am happy that we are able to deliver this support to our small businesses, which – and we cannot say it enough – is the backbone of our economy.
The Environmental Health Division will be hosting virtual meetings for various sectors in the business community to provide updated COVID-19 prevention and control measures. Links will be provided.
Proprietors of salons, hairdressers, barber shops, restaurants (for in service dining), bars, night clubs and pubs are reminded that these businesses or establishments are to remain closed until further instructions are given on Wednesday, September 16.
Proprietors and managers of fitness facilities (gyms) are notified that they are not allowed to resume business until after the scheduled virtual meeting on Monday, September 14.........
