Residents who attended the Health Estate Planning Lecture are said to have gained a new perspective of death and dying and the provisions that are to be made in advance of these eventualities.

Project Bug Out has joined forces with the Virgin Gorda community to minimise the breeding of mosquitoes on the island.

A series of self-management workshops aimed at assisting persons in the management of non-communicable diseases will be held in April. 

Residents of Virgin Gorda are invited to participate in Project Bug Out’s first community clean-up activity tomorrow Saturday, March 12 at 7:00 a.m. 

The public is notified that the Ministry of Health and Social Development is issuing a new fitness challenge “Walk Around the World in 52 Weeks”.

Residents of Locality 3 which includes the area between Paraquita Bay and Baugher’s Bay are informed that the vector control team will be conducting house to house inspections in preparation for a community clean up that will take place on Saturday, March 12.  

Food handlers on Virgin Gorda are reminded that food handler clinics will be held throughout the month of March. 

A new fitness challenge has been issued to encourage more sustained walking among groups and individuals. 

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is in full support of long term athletic development and physical literacy as part the Sport for Life programme.

A public/private partnership has been established to chart the path towards mosquito eradication on Virgin Gorda.
