Mister Speaker, I thank you for the opportunity to provide an update on my Ministry. Over the past months I have provided updates as they relate to physical projects, but today I want to speak on the ministry’s legislation and policy framework which is currently afoot and will improve the operational efficiency of my Ministry.

Construction works have commenced on the additional third lane project in the Traffic Enhancement and Improvement programme in Road Town following the signing of a contract on June 29.

Mister Speaker, I rise to provide this Honourable House with an update on the many historic and exciting initiatives the Ministry of Transportation, Works and Utilities is currently implementing. 

Government offices are being advised that the Public Works Department gas pump station hours are Monday to Friday 8:15 a.m. to 4:15 p.m.

The public is notified that the stretch of road from the Paul Wattley bypass road to the top of Joe’s Hill will be temporarily closed today Friday, December 20 from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. 

The Public Works Department will be closed on Tuesday, December 10 from 10:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m.

All departments are notified that the Public Works Department’s fuel pump will be closed on Thursday November 28 from 12:00 noon.

The public is advised that the road from Great Mountain to the Look Out in Fahie Hill is closed today, Thursday, October 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday, October 18 from 7:00 a.m. to Saturday, October 19, at 7:00 a.m.
