The Government of the Virgin Islands is committed to enhancing the Territory’s Road infrastructure and has completed works on the East End Road on Jost Van Dyke.
My fellow Virgin Islanders and Residents, as we work to address the deplorable roads in our territory, we initiated the milling of Sea Cows Bay Road with the intention of resurfacing it with asphalt.
The public is advised that civil works will begin in Paraquita Bay from the entrance of the Department of Agriculture and the Abattoir from Saturday, September 21 to Sunday, September 22, from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. daily.
Motorists are advised to follow traffic directions and signage during the repair period to ensure smooth traffic flow.
The public is notified that there will be milling in Sea Cow’s Bay on Saturday, September 14 from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the vicinity of the Community Centre and the Hannah Hill Road.
The public is notified that road works will begin on Monday, September 16 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. daily in Brewers Bay. The affected section is the road leading down to the community centre.
The public is notified that the Blackburn Highway in the vicinity of Brandywine Bay towards East End will undergo roadworks from Wednesday, September 11 to Wednesday September 18. The works will take place daily from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The Government of the Virgin Islands, is undertaking extensive road rehabilitation and upgrade projects across the Territory as part of a comprehensive infrastructural development programme.
