The Government of the Virgin Islands is encouraging elderly persons and those with mobility challenges to participate in the ceremonial march, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the historic Great March of 1949, under the theme “A March, A Milestone, A Movement.”

The Virgin Islands Emancipation Exhibition will be showcased at the Sir Olva Georges Plaza on Thursday, August 1.
Director of Culture, Dr. Katherine Smith said the exhibition will offer visitors an engaging experience that delves into the profound meaning of the VI freedom today, and the historical experiences from which its ancestors were emancipated.
