International Women’s Day

Opening Ceremony – Monday, 9^th October

Nurses, midwives, doctors, birth coaches, and doulas are invited to register to attend the ‘Importance and Benefits of Breastfeeding’ continuing medical education session via WebEx on Thursday August 31 at 6:30 p.m.

The Ministry of Health and Social Development will be launching the Caribbean Public Health Agency’s ‘Guidelines for the Management of Diabetes in Primary Care’ on Thursday July 20 at 5:30 p.m. at the lobby of the Dr. D. Orlando Smith hospital.

Public Service Wellness Month begins today, October 3 and will feature daily challenges and three primary wellness events.

His Excellency the Governor, Mr. John Rankin, CMG has presented a cheque for $3,500 to President of the BVI Cancer Society, Ms. Gloria Fahie to assist the non-profit organisation in its efforts to support individuals undergoing treatment.

The BVI Health Services Authority is offering 3D Mammography to aid in the early detection of breast cancer.

The public is invited to the following events as part of the Complete Health Improvement Program.

The public is notified that Mammogram Service has resumed at Peebles Hospital.

The public is invited to participate in a walk/run and health fair as part of a Cardiovascular Symposium activity scheduled for Saturday February 16.
