The conclusion of the Ministry of Education’s annual Inter-Secondary School Debates was a nail biter as the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) continued to reign victorious against the Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies (VISTS).

The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies (VISTS) and the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) have advanced to the final round of the Inter-Secondary Schools Debate following their victories in the semi-finals held on February 26.

Minister for Education, Youth Affairs and Sports, Honourable Sharie DeCastro and Chief Education Officer Mrs. Orlandette Crabbe, were among other ministry officials in attendance to witness the presentation of a cheque to the music department of the Elmore Stoutt High School by former student Ms. Ashaala Shanae. Ms. Shanae was a student at the school when it was formerly the B.V.I High School.

The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports’ Inter-Secondary School Chess Tournament will see seven schools in the Territory vying for the title of Chess Champion from December 12 to 13.
