The Summit was convened to:
- Assess the current state of the Virgin Islands tourism sector
- Identify challenges and opportunities for sustainable growth
- Strengthen public–private collaboration
- Align national priorities with regional and global tourism trends
- Inform policy, legislation, and investment strategies
The Summit built directly on the OECS Regional Tourism Policy Consultations (2024) and served as a key milestone toward finalising the National Tourism Policy.

The Tourism Summit produced clear direction to:
- Finalise and implement the National Tourism Policy
- Develop supporting legislation, including a Tourism Act and Events legislation
- Strengthen data collection and use for decision-making

- Shift focus toward quality, value, and sustainability rather than volume
These outcomes will guide tourism planning and investment over the coming decade.
