The Government of the Virgin Islands is encouraging elderly persons and those with mobility challenges to participate in the ceremonial march, commemorating the 75th anniversary of the historic Great March of 1949, under the theme “A March, A Milestone, A Movement.”
The public is advised that the main roads throughout the Territory are passable. However, persons who must use the roads are asked to take extreme caution.
The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) in Pockwood Pond is closed today due to the recent inclement weather conditions. However, the branch in Virgin Gorda will operate from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Due to adverse weather conditions forecasted for today, Monday, 11th November, 2024,
the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has advised the closure of all public schools in the territory. This decision is to ensure the safety of our students and staff as cloudy spells with showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the territory throughout the day.
