Trade And Consumer Affairs Department Cashier Closed

The Trade and Consumer Affairs Department is informing the public that its cashier will be closed until further notice as the department is experiencing technical difficulties at this time. 

Persons are asked to visit the office on the 2nd floor of the Sebastian building for other queries or information.

Public Invited To Participate In 2015 Education Week Activities

The Ministry of Education and Culture is inviting the public to support and participate in this year’s education week activities from March 8- 14 to be held under the theme: “Education through Culture: A Virgin Islands Experience.”

Retaining Wall Project Commences At Russell Hill March 3

The Ministry of Communications and Works is advising the public that works  will commence on Tuesday, March 3 to construct a retaining wall in a portion of Russell Hill.  

The project is for a duration of approximately two months and includes scheduled concrete pours and demolition works.

The public is asked to traverse the area with extreme caution, and to consider using alternate routes during the construction works.

The ministry apologises for any inconvenience caused.

Magistrate Court Matters For February 25 Have Been Rescheduled

The Magistrate’s Court is informing the public that all court matters scheduled for Wednesday, February 25 will be heard before the Court on Thursday, February 26 at the John's Hole location. 

Persons who are scheduled to attend court on Wednesday February 25 are still required to present themselves before the courts on that same day to have their matters administratively adjourned and to sign the court's register.

The court’s offices will remain open on Wednesday and the public may access the cashier window from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Work Continues On National Sewerage Project In East End

The Ministry of Communications is informing the public that work will continue on

National Sewerage Project from Fat Hogs Bay in the vicinity of YEP and will continue east towards the Long Swamp Police Station in East End.

Works will begin on Wednesday February 25 at 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily and will continue for a period of 6 weeks.

Motorists are advised to utilise the ridge road via Fort Hill as there will be no vehicular access through that area.

Road Works Continue From Meyers To Soldier’s Hill Junction

The Ministry of Communications and Works is informing the public that road works from Meyers Estate to Chalwell on to the Soldier’s Hill junction toward Cane Garden Bay will continue daily from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Motorists are asked to exercise caution when traversing the areas.

Exhibition To Highlight Work Of Overseas Countries And Territories

The Virgin Islands will host the Annual Overseas Countries and Territories Association (OCTA) Ministerial Conference, and the 13th Annual Overseas Countries and Territories (OCT) European Union (EU) Forum from February 25 to February 27.

In observance of these events, the Government of the Virgin Islands will hold an educational exhibit under the theme, “Unlock the Value of the OCTs: Sustainable Development Through Innovation, Competitiveness and Green Growth”.

Minister Vanterpool To Hold Office Hours On Virgin Gorda
