Participation Encouraged For National Risk Assessment Exercise

Businesses and organisations, including registered and not-yet-registered non-profit organisations are encouraged to continue participating in the ongoing National Risk Assessment (NRA) exercise currently being conducted in the Territory.

The NRA exercise is confidential and information gathered will not be used for any other purpose; any information provided to NRA assessment teams is maintained solely by the NRA and will be kept in the strictest confidence.

Date Change For Anegada Public Meeting On Protected Areas

The Anegada Public Meeting on the proposed Protected Areas will be held at the Agricultural grounds on Wednesday, February 4, at 1:00 p.m.

The meeting will be held immediately after the ceremony and festivities of Farmers’ Week taking place on Anegada, that same day.

Works On Sugar Mill Road To Commence On February 2

The Public Works Department is informing the public that road and wall rehabilitative works will commence on Sugar Mill Road in Lower Estate on Monday, February 2 and are expected to be completed on Sunday, March 15. Works are scheduled from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Minister Walwyn To Hold Office Hours On Anegada On February 6

Minister for Education and Culture Honourable Myron V. Walwyn is informing the community of Anegada that he will hold office hours on the sister island on Friday, February 6 at the Claudia Creque Educational Centre from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Social Development Offices To Close On February 9

The Ministry of Health and Social Development is notifying the community that the Social Development Department offices on Tortola and Virgin Gorda will be closed on Monday February 9, 2015 from 8:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon to facilitate a general staff meeting. In the event of an emergency, an officer can be reached at 468-9371. Both offices will re-open at 1:00 p.m.
