Employees and visitors to the Central Administration Complex (CAC) are being welcomed with cool air as they enter the lobby area of the east atrium.

Facilities Manager, Mr. Arriel Donovan said the Premiers Office, the Ministry of Natural Resources and Labour, and the Survey Department now located at the old Passport Office area are utilising the central cooling system, which has been restored since the hurricanes of 2017.

Mr. Donovan said the entrance and exit doors to the east atrium are now closed to keep the area cool and visitors and occupants are asked to use the signed entrance and exit doors.

The Facilities Manager said the work done was a collective effort and included replacing walls and hanging ceilings, and painting of the east atrium. Floodlights were also added to illuminate the building and the complex’s surrounding.

The Facilities Management Unit is continuing its biweekly maintenance of the grounds of the complex including adding cocoa plum trees on the roadway boundary as well as in the inner court by the plaque that commemorates one year since the passage of hurricanes Irma and Maria.

Meanwhile, Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Communications and Works, Mr. Jeremy Hodge said the Ministry of Communications and Works remains committed to providing a safe, healthy and esthetically pleasing environment for occupants and visitors to the Central Administration Complex.
