The Government of the Virgin Islands has signed a contract for significant works on the Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service Headquarters Tender Bay.

Minister of Communications and Works, Honourable Kye M. Rymer expressed enthusiasm about the project, stating that this phase of enhancing and refurbishing the Fire Headquarters underscores the government's commitment to enhancing public safety and emergency response capabilities across the Territory.

The public is notified that the Old Government House Museum on Tortola will be closed for renovations from September 4 to 27.

The museum is expected to reopen on October 1.

Any inconvenience caused is regretted.

The rehabilitation of the Old Administration Building on Main Street, Tortola has begun following initial delays caused by the passage of Tropical Storm Ernesto.

The public is advised that the reopening of the Civil Registry and Passport Office today has been delayed until further notice, as teams work to remedy effects caused by the passage of Hurricane Ernesto.
