The public is invited to the 50th anniversary of the British Virgin Islands/United States Virgin Islands Friendship Day celebrations on Saturday, October 22 at the Cyril B. Romney Tortola Pier Park at 10:00 a.m. under the theme “Our Golden Jubilee: A Resilient Bond of Friendship.”  

The day promises to be a cultural showcase highlighting various aspects of our Virgin Islands’ culture. The programme includes a mini parade, dance, poetry, drama, music, various cultural displays and demonstrations, and a skit featuring Ms. Janice Stoutt, local playwright, and other local actors in a skit titled, Binding Ties. There will also be local food and drinks. 

Everyone is asked to come out dressed in your Territorial wear as the people and the BVI and USVI come together for a memorable time.
