The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports is notifying the public that all public schools will be closed from Wednesday February 14 to Friday February 16 to allow for mandatory training of educators through the Virgin Islands Public Service-Learning Institute. Teachers who are not attending the training will be engaged in professional development activities to enhance their teaching skills.

Students will receive classwork through Google Classroom to ensure their continued academic progress during the closure. Parents and guardians are encouraged to support their children in accessing and completing assignments.

Friday, February 16 is also mid-term break. Students will return to the classroom on Monday, February 19. All school staff, parents and students are asked to take note.
