The Government of the Virgin Islands will be investing more than two million dollars this year in the upgrading of the Territory’s schools.

Minister for Education Honourable Sharie deCastro has said that the Virgin Islands can no longer afford to rely solely on traditional teaching methods and outdated structures and has called for a bold reimagining of learning and integrating new technologies in Education.

The Virgin Islands School of Technical Studies (VISTS) and the Elmore Stoutt High School (ESHS) have advanced to the final round of the Inter-Secondary Schools Debate following their victories in the semi-finals held on February 26.

Ms. Shanae was a student at the school when it was formerly the B.V.I High School.
