Persons seeking to have students placed in the public or private school system in the Virgin Islands are notified that registration for the 2025 to 2026 academic school year begins on January 2 and ends April 30.

The Ivan Dawson Primary School has received a donation of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) from the Public Service Week Committee in partnership with the VI Adult Spell Off.
The Ministry of Education, Youth Affairs and Sports’ Inter-Secondary School Chess Tournament will see seven schools in the Territory vying for the title of Chess Champion from December 12 to 13.

The Ministry of Education is partnering with the BVI Football Association (BVIFA) and FIFA in the official launch of the Football for Schools programme.

Due to adverse weather conditions forecasted for today, Monday, 11th November, 2024,
the Department of Disaster Management (DDM) has advised the closure of all public schools in the territory. This decision is to ensure the safety of our students and staff as cloudy spells with showers and thunderstorms are expected to impact the territory throughout the day.
